Knauf is seeking a passionate, experienced, and reliable Account Manager to join our ambitious team. We are seeking a disciplined, goal-driven individual with a proven sales track record, strong time management, collaboration skills, and a focus on building lasting professional connections.
This role is focused on growing profitable sales, fostering client relationships and contributing to business development. Responsibilities include driving sales aligned with plans, nurturing customer relationships, implementing multi-channel strategies for sustainable market growth, identifying key business opportunities, and ensuring accurate market and sales reporting.
Utilise your multi-channel sales expertise to support our business, emphasizing meticulous CRM utilization for market reporting and customer records. This role reports to the General Manager Northern NSW and will be based in Newcastle, NSW while also focusing on the Greater Hunter and Central Coast regions.
Role responsibilities:
- Ensure business transactions are conducted in a legal and professional manner with strong ethical, safety and compliance standards
- Undertake sales activities within the segment / region to exceed budgeted targets and take corrective action as required, whilst exceeding customer expectation
- Contribute to the development of the segment and customer strategy and plans, to protect current business and win new business whilst identifying opportunities for value added products, systems, and services through account plan management
- Develop strong multilevel relationships with targeted customers and segment decision makers whilst providing outstanding customer service to ensure a supplier of choice position
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales cycle as well as customer accounts are managed to an acceptable debtor level
- Maintain and report knowledge of market trends, competitor activities and developments
- Ensure appropriate reporting and recording of sales activities via reports and CRM
Candidate requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in sales/business related discipline will be highly regarded
- Superior written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to speak, present and lead discussions with customers along with providing product training to a customer group
- Self-motivated, driven, enthusiastic and resilient with the ability to operate autonomously
- Intermediate to Advanced competency in Word, Excel, and Power point
- SAP & CRM Salesforce experience and knowledge preferred
- Must possess a current NSW Driver’s License
- A minimum of 5 years external sales experience
- Building industry knowledge and experience preferred but not essential
- Established Building industry contacts in the Region preferred but not essential
