Hardware Account Manager
You will be responsible for exploring and developing opportunities for new products, establishing networks & new business opportunities within the building industry.

About the role:
Knauf Gypsum is looking for a Hardware Account Manager to grow our hardware segment sales through various strategic planning within our high performing sales team in Port Melbourne, VIC.
Reporting to the Channel Segment Manager you will be responsible for exploring and developing opportunities for new products, establishing networks within the building industry to create new business opportunities, outlining strategies to increase sector penetration, developing relationship with key stakeholders / influencers and ensuring customer needs are met.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Develop a strategic plan for the hardware channel in the greater Victorian region
- Ensure the Knauf product offer to the hardware channel is appropriate and meeting the needs of the customer base
- Promote Knauf product ranges to hardware channels including maximizing market penetration by having products available in national hardware distribution centers
- Outline strategies to increase sector penetration and overall contribution from the hardware channel
- Achieve the best possible EBIT for the hardware segment regionally
- Explore and develop opportunities for new product ranges
- Develop a market strategy with the national marketing team which includes collateral and POS material to promote the Knauf product range
- Work closely with the national hardware admins & regional KFN teams to ensure accounts are kept within trading terms and credit claims are resolved efficiently
- Continuously explore opportunities for growth in the home improvement channel, to increase Knauf market share
Candidate requirements:
- Prior experience in a similar sales role within a manufacturing / building products / construction materials industry serving the hardware segment
- A team player with exceptional attention to detail which will allow you to maintain your region with the highest of accuracy. Pre-empt and resolve challenges
- Strong background in sales and customer service with effective stakeholder management capabilities
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, and strong emotional intelligence
- Ability to travel
- Demonstrated track record of driving results and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
