About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced National Credit Manager to join our Australian business. Based in Camellia, NSW, reporting to the CFO and with the support of 5 team members, you will oversee the Accounts Receivable function from customer assessments to cash collection.
This leadership position requires a proactive approach to credit policy development, team management, and stakeholder engagement.
What you'll do:
As a National Credit Manager, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the financial stability of our organisation. You will be responsible for assessing client applications and cash collections involving small to large clients. You will also play an integral role in maintaining a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and manage the credit operations and policies of the organisation
- Providing regular reports to senior management on the status of accounts receivable, aging reports, and credit risks
- Managing, mentoring and developing a team of 5 credit professionals, fostering a high-performance culture
- Assessing and approving credit applications and terms, balancing risk and opportunity
- Developing and implementing effective collection strategies to reduce overdue accounts
- Conducting regular reviews of the aged debtor report and ensure appropriate action on overdue accounts
- Maintaining positive relationships with customers and stakeholders while enforcing credit terms
Requirements:
- Proven experience in credit management, accounts receivable, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of credit risk assessment, financial analysis, and legal frameworks relevant to credit
- Demonstrated success in managing teams and achieving results in credit and collections
- Proficiency in credit management software, Excel and ERP systems (SAP)
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
