Trade Store Operator - Truck Driver
This role is responsible for the dispatch, distribution, unloading of building materials & delivering to work sites across Northeastern QLD.

About the role:
Knauf Gypsum is looking for an experienced Trade Store Operator - Truck Driver, to be a part of our new & modern high performing and Trade Store in Townsville, QLD.
Reporting to the Trade Store Manager, this role is responsible to providing exceptional customer service through the daily operations of site deliveries, in accordance with the Company’s strategic plans, operating budgets, procedures and policies
Applicants must be reliable, adaptable, and physically fit. You will have demonstrated experience working effectively in a team and independently and be committed to safety at all times.
Some of the role responsibilities:
- Ability to hand unload materials off truck while maintaining good manual handling techniques
- Receive and forward customer complaints to the Trade Sales Manager regarding product and / or service via Knauf's complaint and customer procedures
- Assist in the maintenance of inventory levels to satisfy customer requirements and market demand, including diligent checking and dispatching of goods
- Provide customers with exceptional Customer Service via prompt delivery of goods to customer locations
- Assist in management of transport resources to effectively maintain efficient service to customers
- Assist in administrative duties where required by Management
- Any other reasonable task as requested by management
Candidate requirements:
- MR license (mandatory), Heavy Rigid truck license (beneficial)
- Forklift license (beneficial)
- Good understanding of Chain of Responsibility requirements
- Competent in load restraint
- Builds and sustains positive relationship with team members and customers
- Has good communication skills
- Shows commitment to get the job done, accurately and timely
- Previous experience as a delivery truck in a busy environment
- Physically capable to fulfil the demands of lifting plasterboard product and accessories
