Knauf is looking for a casual Technical Consultant to join the TecASSIST function and facilitate a high level of customer service through the provision of timely, accurate and up-to-date technical advice on the range of products and building systems marketed by Knauf, responding via the various communication mediums as appropriate.
TecASSIST is a National technical assistant that provides advice to Knauf customers, including builders, contractors, architects, engineers, building surveyors and homeowners throughout Australia.
This is a great opportunity to join our high-performing business based in Port Melbourne, Victoria. This position will also contribute to your engineering work experience requirement as part of your studies. Duties & responsibilities include:
- Provide support for Value Engineering and specification activities in conjunction with Engineering team
- Be fully familiar and conversant with all Knauf products and systems keeping abreast of any updates, technical or otherwise
- Take ownership for enquires received ensuring they are handled and progressed to a satisfactory resolution, ensuring the customer is kept abreast of the status of outstanding or ongoing enquiries
- Ensure customers are provided accurate and up-to-date information
- Provide the necessary support literature and follow-up as appropriate for the project involved. Where appropriate provide or organise documentation e.g. drawings/sketches specific to the project involved
- Develop and maintain a network of contacts throughout Knauf and external companies as appropriate that can assist with answering customer enquiries
Must have:
- Be a first year or second year Architectural or Civil Engineering students
- Strong personal competencies in teamwork, time management and problem solving skills
- Strong skills in communication to develop relationships with a wide range of customers/clients from contractors, builders, developers, Architects and Engineers etc
- Customer focused
- Microsoft Office skills to complete operational tasks
