National Technical Manager
The National Technical Manager will assume responsibility for the engineering, process development, continuous improvement and sustainability functions across the organization.

About the Role:
Knauf is seeking a passionate, experienced, and reliable National Technical Manager to be a part of our Senior Management team.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Director, the role will assume responsibility for the engineering, process development, continuous improvement and sustainability functions across the organization.
The responsibilities of this role will include leading and overseeing capital projects, sustainability, process optimization and engineering, as well as continuous improvement functions within the Manufacturing business unit.
Drive process improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process, focusing on sustainable solutions that have a positive impact on the financial performance of the business, while building a Continuous Improvement culture.
The role demands an in depth understanding of the gypsum and plasterboard manufacturing process, the plant equipment capability, process chemistry and process optimization. The successful candidate will be a degree qualified Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical or equiv.) and have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the building materials industry, specifically specializing in plasterboard production, operations management, and process optimization. A Master of Business Administration (MBA) will be highly regarded.
Lean six sigma and global experience within the plasterboard manufacturing industry is an advantage.
