About the Role:
As a Customer Service Operator, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our new Bendigo Trade Store opening in July. This is a hands-on role that involves working across all aspects of warehousing, including forklift operation, loading and unloading trucks, picking and packing orders, assisting customers at the counter, and conducting inventory stock takes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to safely load and unload trucks, move stock, and organize the warehouse
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring secure loading for delivery
- Assist customers at the trade counter, providing excellent service and product knowledge
- Conduct regular inventory stock takes and ensure accurate stock control
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Handle heavy manual tasks, including lifting and moving plasterboard sheets (some sheets may weigh up to [specify weight, e.g., 25kg/50lbs])
- Collaborate with the delivery team to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of orders
- Assist with replenishing stock and ensuring materials are stored correctly to minimize damage
- Adhere to workplace health and safety standards and company policies
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is highly desirable
- Forklift license and experience operating forklifts (or willingness to obtain certification)
- A high level of physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks daily
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate stock handling and order picking
- A customer-focused mindset, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and team-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently when required
- Experience with inventory management systems is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of plasterboard or construction materials is desirable but not required (training provided)
