About the role:
Knauf Gypsum has an opportunity for an experienced and passionate Fulfilment Centre Assistant Manager to work in our trade store based in Hervey Bay, QLD. Reporting directly to the Fulfilment Centre Manager, this role is best suited to a person with strong leadership skills who can lead by example, has great communication skills both written and verbal & has a natural ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
This role is responsible for providing the efficient management and leadership of the trade store and personnel in accordance with the company’s strategic plans, values, operating budgets and policies
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the training and development of new team members to ensure they understand and deliver our high standards of customer service
- Responsible for site inventory and managing trade store profit & loss
- Accountable for a continuous improvement at the site
- Ensure that KPI and stock keeping information is analysed and issues addressed and reported
- Assisting to Create a positive and motivating culture within the team that inspires great performance and supporting all levels of team member performance
- Builds and sustains positive relationships within the team
- Ensure that Knauf Gypsum values are part of the operational culture
- Foster a culture of change readiness to optimise labour usage and streamline processes
- Contractor Management, finance & administration
- Occupational Health & Safety and preventative maintenance
- Client Relationship Management
About you:
- Proven experience in building services in a Retail or Commercial environment
- Previous trade experience is highly desirable
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential and must be willing to obtain one)
- Excellent communications, relationship building and time management skills
- Maintaining a premium level of cleanliness and presentation within a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Driver licence (preferred but not essential)
- Outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Experience in the use of SAP is highly desirable
- Strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft products, especially Excel, Outlook, Work and PowerPoint
